Statement from SQRD Lab: DCC Recalls
At SQRD Lab, we are committed to providing accurate, compliant, and reliable cannabis testing services. Recently, we identified a software configuration issue in our reporting system that resulted in certain Infused Flower and Infused Shake samples being incorrectly classified as non-infused flower. This misclassification resulted in these samples being tested without the Residual Solvent Adulterants panel, which is required for manufactured products.
While we have no indication that any of the affected samples contain residual solvent adulterants, we recognize the importance of full regulatory compliance and transparency. As a result, the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) has issued recalls for certain products due to the missing panel.
We deeply regret this issue and any inconvenience it may have caused our clients and their customers. We want to be clear: This was a technical error in our reporting system, not a failure on the part of our clients or the integrity of their products.
As soon as we identified the issue, we took immediate corrective actions, including:
Fixing the LIMS configuration to ensure all infused product samples are correctly categorized and tested moving forward.
Reviewing and updating our internal quality control processes to prevent similar issues from occurring.
At SQRD Lab, our mission is to uphold the highest standards in cannabis testing, and we remain committed to ensuring full compliance and consumer safety. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly at 1-833-SQRD-LAB.
Thank you for your continued trust in SQRD Lab.
Sincerely,
The SQRD Lab Team
